A stable tripod is a must for serious astronomical observing and photography. This steel field tripod folds down to a compact 8"x28".

It is equipped with a built-on 20 - 90° wedge tilt plate for quick equatorial use and astrophotography. It has a metal center brace and accessory tray for added stability. Weight 10 lbs. Height extendable from 28" to 48".

Tripod Heavy Duty CPC 1100

The Celestron HD tripod is the same tripod included with our top of the line CPC 1100 telescope. It has fully adjustable legs with metal clamps for solid height adjustment. Comes with a heavy duty, metal accessory tray that maximizes the stability of the tripod. The tripod head has mounting holes for both alt-az mounting (CPC, NexStar GPS) and for use with a wedge.

This kit attaches to your Heavy Duty Wedge (#93655) and gives you fine motion control in altitude and azimuth for easy and accurate polar alignment.

For All CPC Series (and Nexstar GPS or Ultima 2000) telescopes, this heavy-duty wedge is available for the more serious observer.

It increases the rigidity of the telescope while giving a 0° to 90° range of operation. An upgrade kit with a deluxe latitude adjuster and azimuth controls for easy polar alignment is available (#93662).

Wedge, NexStar 6SE and 8SE

Upgrade your NexStar 6SE and 8SE with this wedge for long exposure astrophotography. With built-in azimuth and altitude adjustment controls for easy polar alignment, this wedge has a 25-90° latitude range.

Used on either NexStar 6SE or NexStar 8SE, it weighs 8 lbs.

Also works with NexStar 5i or NexStar 8i telescopes.

VSP (Vibration Suppression Pads)

Telescope and spotting scope vibration is caused by windy conditions, an unsteady mount or tripod or even an accidental bump to the instrument, and results in reduced image quality.

Celestron’s set of three Vibration Suppression Pads will reduce vibration time by almost 100% and decrease vibration amplitude. The pads fit between the bottom of the tripod legs and the ground, a simple and functional solution to the problem of image disturbance.

They work on any surface: grass, dirt, concrete, asphalt, wood, etc., for both telescopes and spotting scopes.
