Heavier
4" scopes are best matched to the rock-solid Gibraltar mount. The
larger bearing surfaces and thicker wood legs best handle the loads,
especially for high power viewing. The Gibraltar tripods are finely
crafted and American made in a choice of solid ash wood
for beauty and quick vibration dampening. Leg extensions raise the
tripod height to 5 feet, still ideally sized for use with our Air-Chair
observing stool. An accessory tray ties the legs together for rigidity.

For more rigidity under heavier loads, the Tele-Pod head has been adapted it into the fine Panoramic wooden
tripod. Since the Sky Tour encoder attachment points are within the head itself, for the first time,
the Panoramic mount is Sky Tour capable. It places the scope from approximately 3 to 5 feet high.
Metal ground spikes with rubber tips are provided. A central tray adds rigidity and a convenient platform
for accessories.

TPM-1015 Tele-Pod Mount

A complete, lightweight telescope mount featuring smooth alt-azimuth motions and optional Sky Tour object
locating capability. Perfect for our smaller, travel-easy refractors. Telescope height ranges from 28" to 62".
Aluminum tripod legs are 2-section, black anodized and foam covered. Retractable rubber-tipped foot pads
reveal metal ground spikes. A quick release knob removes the head from the center column.The self contained
head is Sky Tour ready and can be used on any camera tripod with either a 1/4-20 or 3/8-16 stud.
It is the most portable DSC mount head available. The Eyepiece Caddy Set accessory is highly
recommended since the Tele-Pod Mount and standard camera tripods do not have accessory trays.
